AFRICAN BEADS
They are made of animal bones, animal teeth, stones, clay, seeds and glass. The African glass beads are made with ground glass found in Ghana and Nigeria. The glass from Africa is low in magnesium, high in potash, aluminum and calcium. The red and orange stone and glass beads from Ile-Ife and Oyo areas are called IYUN and the blue and green ones are called SEGI.
